Dressing / wound care

Mediplast has a large and varied range of products within dressing and wound care. Our proprietary products prioritise safety, comfort and user-friendliness. By manufacturing many products in our own factory at Hospidana in Denmark, we can achieve a high degree of flexibility in the product development process. Many products are developed in close dialogue with end-users and to meet specific needs.


Suture Strips

Mediplast offers sterile non-woven suture strips designed to reduce the risk of infection, provide support to the edges of the wound and produce a better cosmetic result. Suture strips are available in two different designs: beige strips are elastic; and white strips are reinforced.


Tubular Bandages

We offer various types of tubular bandages for fixation and light support. Bandage style variations include basic tubular gauze, double elastic and light compression. Mediplast manufacture these products in Denmark.


Fixation and Support Bandage

This section contains bandages that provide light support for extremities. They can also be used for lymphoedema treatment and fixation of dressings or casts.


Foam Dressing

Mediplast offers foam dressings in polyurethane. The dressings are available in three different versions: Non-adhesive foam dressing, A foam dressing for effective absorption of wound exudate from moderately to significantly exuding wounds. Foam dressing with silicone, An adhesive foam dressing with super absorbents for effective management of heavily exuding wounds. Foam dressing with silicone and adhesive border, An adhesive foam dressing with superabsorbents for effective absorption of wound exudate from copiously exuding wounds.


Film Dressing

Mediplast offers semi-permeable film dressings with a bacterial/viral barrier. The products are available in three versions: as a roll, as a sterile dressing and as a sterile dressing with an absorption pad.


IV Fixation

At Mediplast we are now launching our new IV fixation dressings. The dressings consist of semi-permeable film which is air-permeable whilst preventing bacteria and viruses from reaching the needle entry point. The dressings have a transparent surface which facilitates inspection of the needle entry point, as well as fixation tape and a frame system designed to aid application.


Orthopaedic Padding

Mediplast offers synthetic padding to use under splints or under casts. The padding is soft, air-permeable and water-repellent.
