CUSA Excel 23kHz CEM Nosecone
The CUSA Electrosurgical Module (CEM™) provides Desiccate Coagulation waveform electrosurgical capability to CUSA® Excel handpieces. The CEM nosecone is intended for use with the CUSA® Excel/ CUSA® Excel+ Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator System (CUSA Excel System), CUSA handpiece and the Covidien Force FX® Electrosurgical Generator. The CUSA handpiece with the CEM nosecone works in conjunction with the Force FX Generator in surgical procedures where combined ultrasonic dissection and electrosurgical coagulation is desired, either simultaneously or independently.

CUSA Excel 23kHz Reusable Nosecone
The standard, reusable noscone is intended for use with the CUSA® Excel/CUSA® Excel+ Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator System, CUSA® Handpiece and accessories. The standard nosecone is nonsterile and reusable.The nosecone attaches to the handpiece and covers the connecting body. It serves two purposes:
• Holds the flue in place
• Anchors the suction tube

The CUSA® Excel+ Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator System is indicated for use in surgical procedures where fragmentation, emulsification and aspiration of soft and hard (e.g. bone) tissue is desirable. The CUSA® Excel+ Ultrasonic Surgical Aspirator is indicated for use in: Neurosugery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Gynecologic Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, and the following specific uses: Gastrointestinal and Affiliated Organ Surgery—including removal of benign or malignant tumors or other unwanted tumors or other unwanted tissue, including hepatic parenchyma, in open or laparoscopic procedures, hepatic resection, tumor resection, lobectomy or trisegmentectomy, or removal of tissue during liver allotransplantation and donor hepatectomy.
