Absorbent Skin X

Skin X^® Skin Protection Ring and Absorbent are designed for use in cases of leakage from a gastrostomy. Both have slits, allowing them to be placed around a catheter or a button.
Skin X^® Skin Protection Ring is made of hydrocolloid and should be applied to clean, dry skin. It protects the skin from contact with leakage and can remain in place for 2–3 days, depending on the leakage volume. The bandage around the stoma should be checked frequently and replaced as needed.
Skin X^® Absorbent is made of a superabsorbent material with an outer plastic coating to prevent soaking through. It is placed on top of the Skin Protection Ring to absorb any leakage and prevent it from spreading beyond the ring. The absorbent should ideally be replaced after feeding or as needed.
