Intratympanic needle
Facts
Specially designed needle for safer and easier transtympanic injections to the middle ear. The needle is 90 mm long and has a specially designed sharpened tip end which is 2 mm long and holds an outer diameter of only 0,4 mm. The principle of “tube in tube” is used to create a natural stop against the tympanic membrane when injecting. Design - Prof Måns Magnusson of the ENT clinic at Lund University Hospital.
