Wound drains

Mediplast offers wound drains both as complete sets and as individual drainage catheters in various designs. Our own brands include well-known product names such as Bellovac, Exudrain, and Abdovac. In addition, we represent the Italian company Redax and market their wound drains throughout the Nordic region.

Bellovac Companion system
The transfusion set consists of tubing for transfusion, the drip chamber is equipped with a blood filtration filter of 40-micron pore size. Autotransfusion bag is for use with the Bellovac ABT system only.

Bellovac Set with Trocar
The product consist of PVC or silicone catheter (with or without stainless steel trocar), a suction bulb (suction bellows) with inlet and outlet tubing, and a drainage bag. Up to three non-return valves (depending on model ) are positioned at the junction of the inlet tubing to the suction bellows and at the inlet of the drainage bag, to ensure fluids track away from the wound and that no retrograde contamination may occur. The system also includes dual plastic clamps on inlet and outlet tubing to control fluid direction when emptying and reactivating the drain. Trocars are sometimes provided, the use of the trocar is up to the surgeons preferences and has no impact on the performance of the wound drain set.

Exchange Bag S
Transparent EVA copolymer (ethylene vinyl acetate) collection bag, PVC-free. Graduation up to 700 ml. The first 100 ml in 10 ml divisions. It comes with a non-return valve, a 0.2 µm Millipore-type air outlet filter and a closing cap. ETO Sterilized.
