Catheters and Tubes
Mediplast’s urinary catheters are available using PVC-free materials. Catheters have smooth eyelets and a soft rounded tip. The products universally colour-coded and can be offered with a Neleton or Tiemann tip. Mediplast offers a large range of tubes including duodenal, stomach and rectal tubes, all of which are completely phthalate-free. All tubes are colour coded for easy identification of size. Our duodenal and stomach tubes have a radiopaque line and markings along the tube.
Stomach Tube
A gastro-duodenal tube is inserted through the nose or mouth via the esophagus into the ventricle or duodenum. It is used to drain gastric contents, decompress the stomach or duodenum, obtain a specimen of the gastric contents and administer medicine, or liquids. X-ray stripes mark 45, 55 and 65 cm from the tip for accurate probe placement. The closed distal end with four lateral eyes reduces the risk of blockage. Color-coded connector for easy identification of size.
The product is made of phthalate-free PVC and is intended for single use only.
